Week 13

Hi All,

Sorry I am late in writing. I have been busy in the weekend, as we have welcomed the October DTS and new staff interns. There are almost 40 new DTS, and about 12 Staff interns who have joined us on this base. It has been very exciting and noisy all at the same time with all these new people here, but I am enjoying it. My good friend Micah, whom I grew up with in India is one of the staff interns, so it has been awesome catching up with him, since I have not seen him for 3 years. There are also two New Zealanders on the October DTS who I have chatted to a little bit too. I am soo excited for what God is going to do in these student's lives. It is so funny thinking back to my first day at DTS. I was absolutely clueless, and now God has just completely changed me and I am such a different person.
Lectures were great this week. We had Fiona Gifford come speak to us on Communication. It was good seeing things from a new perspective, learning how to only speak for ourselves, and learning how to approach conflict and repair situations.
Please pray for me this week, as I am feeling quite run down. I have alot of preparing to do as I leave this Sunday (18th Oct) for Papua New Guinea. I will be gone for 6 weeks so I will be out of contact as we will be staying in rural villages most of the time. I am very excited for outreach.
Thanks to my lovely mum and dad, I am able to go. I was very short on outreach funds so mum and dad provided the remaining for me. I love my mum and dad! I am still currently looking for monthly supporters, as I am planning to come back to Townsville in April 2010, and do a staff internship for a year which will mean more finances will be needed. I am currently unaware where this will be coming from. There is no specific amount that you have to give, any amount would just be awesome. If you would like more information on what I will be doing when I come back, please feel free to email me at reserved.4.one@gmail.com. I would really appreciate this.
I will update you again this weekend before I leave for Papua New Guinea. Please keep me in your prayers

Thank you
Gia
